Gen Quiz

OVERVIEW

Ben's Natural Health maintains a vibrant social media presence within its demographic, actively engaging with individuals to cultivate a supportive environment for men coping with prostate disease.

In the past, Ben's Natural Health utilised online quizzes to guide users toward articles and supplements tailored to their conditions. However, these quizzes were not user-friendly or engaging. In response, I was assigned the task of redesigning this process, prioritising the needs of users and establishing a clean and intuitive design language.

The Challenge

The existing quiz had become outdated and was experiencing a decline in user engagement, with fewer users completing the quiz. I was tasked with conducting research and designing a modernised quiz format that would inspire trust among our user base while ensuring clarity and ease of use. Importantly, I needed to consider the age of our demographic, which predominantly consists of individuals aged 50 and above.

Analysis & Research

Upon initial examination, numerous issues were apparent with the existing Typeform.

These included incorrect spacing, inconsistent UI elements, a mismatch of rounded edges and sharp-edged boxes, inconsistent fonts, and a lack of clear colour scheme.

To address these shortcomings, I embarked on a research journey, exploring various online quizzes and medical websites to grasp the typical colour styles, themes, and information hierarchy necessary for the redesign.

I created several mood boards and wireframes as part of the iterative design process. Collaborating with the content and marketing teams ensured alignment across departments and paved the way for effective execution of the redesign.

Initial Designs & Development

With the marketing and content teams aligned with my initial designs, the project gained momentum swiftly. I quickly created the user flow and high-fidelity mockups, facilitating a seamless transition to the engineering team. Collaborating closely with them, I iterated back and forth until the final product was meticulously optimized for both desktop and mobile platforms. This efficient collaboration ensured a smooth development process and a polished end result.
